Giancarlo Palazzone is named one of the Pastry Ambassadors of Italian Excellence in the World
Giancarlo Palazzone was born as a son of artistic and talented parents who, in the middle of the last century, founded one of the most beloved Italian pastry shops in New Jersey, USA. Their presence and products were well-known and loved by many. Among their customers were many high caliber personalities, even the President of the United States of America was one of their customers.
Giancarlo began his pastry making journey at a very young age, attending family workshops in Cilento (Campania). He immediately showed interest and ability, learning and becoming more and more involved in his parents’ activities.
At 19, he opened his first pastry shop in Pescara (Abruzzo) while attending university where he studied for a degree in Economics at the same time. After completing college, Giancarlo returned to his hometown of Sulmona, where he attended special courses in chocolate and confectionery. Within a few years he managed to develop a new line of unique chocolates and candy and expanded his offerings at the pastry shop to include special candies made with nuts, fine Italian chocolate, and more.
Dreaming of continuing his family’s American Dream in the United States, Giancarlo decided to return to New Jersey in 2012 with his wife Veronica. Together they founded Palazzone 1960 in Wayne, NJ, which quickly found great appreciation from their American audience. Palazzone 1960 continues to hold the title of Best Pastry Shop in NJ which has led to the opening of Palazzone Party Lab in Little Falls, NJ. Their second location allows for larger, organized distribution to meet the demands from customers, both public and wholesale. Their products continue to expand into retail stores and prestigious businesses all around the tri-state area.
In 2024, Giancarlo Palazzone, was recognized by Maestro Iginio Massari as one of the “Pastry Ambassadors of Italian Excellence in the World”.
